Fulham 2-2 Bournemouth: Late Ouattara equaliser rescues Cherries
Fulham and Bournemouth extended their respective unbeaten streaks to seven games following an entertaining draw at Craven Cottage.
Dango Ouattara rescued a point for Bournemouth as they played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with fellow European hopefuls Fulham on Sunday.
The substitute scored an 89th-minute equaliser to secure a share of the spoils at Craven Cottage, where both sides extended their respective unbeaten runs to seven matches.
Though Bournemouth controlled long periods of the first half, Raul Jimenez headed Fulham in front five minutes before the break, though Evanilson's instinctive volley brought the visitors level within six minutes of the restart.
The hosts were on course for all three points when Harry Wilson nodded them back in front from Antonee Robinson's centre 18 minutes from time.
However, there was to be a late twist, with the ball breaking kindly in the box for Ouattara, who neatly chipped Bernd Leno to save a point for the visitors.
Andoni Iraola's team remain sixth in the Premier League table and one point ahead of Marco Silva's men, who stay eighth.
Data Debrief: Jimenez matches Hernandez as Cherries produce another late show
Fulham have now dropped a Premier League-high 19 points from winning positions in the division this season, which is also their most in a single campaign since 2012-13 (23).
That was despite the Cottagers scored two headed goals in the same league game for the first time since December 2023, while doubling their tally for this season.
Jimenez put them in front with his 53rd Premier League goals, the joint-most by a Mexican player in the competition's history (level with Javier Hernandez).
However, once again, Bournemouth proved they never know when they are beaten. Ouattara's equaliser was the 10th goal they have scored in the final five minutes of league games this term, at least three more than any other side.
