Galatasaray showed its solidarity with Colombia before facing Çorum in its Turkish Süper Lig opener, warming up in shirts carrying messages of support for the South American country following the earthquake.
The moment carried special meaning for Davinson Sánchez. The Colombian defender went over to greet Galatasaray supporters while the team completed its pre-match warmup.
The Turkish club's gesture came after the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck Colombia on August 10, a tragedy that also led to the temporary suspension of professional soccer in the country.

Colombian soccer postponed after earthquake
The División Mayor del Fútbol Colombiano (Dimayor) postponed its competitions until August 19, including Primera A, Primera B and Copa Colombia.
“We understand that Colombia is going through a moment that affects us all,” Dimayor said when announcing the decision and expressing its solidarity with those affected.
