Arsenal Gets Two Players Back in Time to Face Real Madrid in the Champions League
Arsenal will have Ben White and Thomas Partey available to face Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals
Earlier this morning, Arsenal completed their final training session in London before traveling to Spain for the second leg of the quarterfinals of the Champions League, after securing a valuable 3-0 result at the Emirates Stadium. In addition, their coach Mikel Arteta received great news as he confirmed the return of two key players.

White and Thomas ready to face Real Madrid
The players in question are Ben White and Thomas Partey, who were able to train with the rest of the squad without any issues and are expected to be included in the official squad list that Arsenal will release in the coming hours ahead of tomorrow’s match against Real Madrid. Both had been serious doubts for the trip to Madrid, but have now managed to put their respective physical issues behind them.
For Ben White, this has been a tough season due to injuries, to the point where he has lost his place in Arsenal’s starting lineup. In fact, after not playing a single minute in the first leg against Real Madrid, he was expected to start against Brentford to give Jurrien Timber a rest at right-back. However, he felt some discomfort again and ultimately missed the game.
Thomas Partey will have to push through to play
His spot at right-back had to be filled by Thomas Partey, who has played in that position several times during his time at Arsenal. In fact, he scored the goal against Brentford that briefly put Arsenal ahead. However, shortly before the equalizer, he had to leave the pitch due to injury.
We're talking about an undisputed starter who, if unavailable, would have had to be replaced by Jorginho, who will definitely miss the game and won’t be traveling to Madrid. Therefore, Mikel Arteta will likely have no choice but to rely on Thomas Partey. Along with Jorginho, three other long-term injured players—Gabriel, Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus—will also be unavailable. Calafiori has also not recovered, even though he would have been the preferred option to replace Gabriel at center-back ahead of Kiwior.
