Bellingham to Be Called Up, Decision on Participation Close to Match Time
"I don't know if he's going to play," Ancelotti admitted. "The fact that he trained today means that he is quite well. He was comfortable during training but did not complete it to avoid any impact on his shoulder," he added.
MADRID, Spain - English midfielder Jude Bellingham showed positive signs during the last training session with Real Madrid ahead of their encounter with Sporting Braga at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. Despite taking precautions and not partaking in the end-of-session matches, he will decide along with coach Carlo Ancelotti on Wednesday whether he will participate in the game or start off resting on the bench.
The Italian manager confirmed Bellingham’s condition in his meeting with the press. He revealed that the young English star would be included in the squad list and would wait until the last moment to decide whether to keep Bellingham in the starting lineup or to have him initially on the bench as a precaution.
"I don't know if he's going to play," Ancelotti admitted. "The fact that he trained today means that he is quite well. He was comfortable during training but did not complete it to avoid any impact on his shoulder," he added.
"I think he has recovered well; he didn't have any problems with the movements he made. It's possible that he will play tomorrow, I will evaluate it with him tomorrow," he concluded, leaving the final decision hanging in the balance.
