Brazil Celebrates from the Bernabéu as Ancelotti Fails in the Champions League with Real Madrid
Brazil sent luxury envoy Diego Fernandes, a successful businessman, to the Santiago Bernabéu with the aim of continuing to win over Carlo Ancelotti
Despite the poor impressions left throughout the season and the challenge of toppling an Arsenal team that had gone 79 games without conceding more than two goals, no one wanted to miss out on the possible comeback attempt by Real Madrid. Not even Brazil, which, according to exclusive information revealed by ‘MARCA’, sent successful businessman Diego Fernandes as a luxury envoy to the Santiago Bernabéu to keep working on winning over Carlo Ancelotti.

Brazil wants to announce Ancelotti in June
The Brazilian Football Confederation was fully aware that Carlo Ancelotti was fighting to stay alive at Real Madrid. That’s why last night was crucial in their efforts to convince Carlo Ancelotti to accept their offer to become Brazil’s new head coach for the 2026 World Cup. To achieve this, they’ve been placing their trust for months in Diego Fernandes, a successful businessman with strong ties to the football industry in Brazil… who has already been seen in the VIP areas of the Santiago Bernabéu more than once.
Recently, Carlo Ancelotti denied having had conversations with the CBF about accepting the offer to become Brazil’s new coach. However, ‘MARCA’ has confirmed that there have indeed been ongoing talks with the entourage of the man who, for now, remains the coach of Real Madrid. The goal is clear: to have Carlo Ancelotti on Brazil’s bench for the matches against Ecuador and Paraguay during the FIFA International Window in June, which are part of the South American World Cup Qualifiers.
Ancelotti likely done at Real Madrid
Clearly, there’s no doubt that the CBF celebrated Real Madrid’s Champions League elimination at the hands of Arsenal with optimism. In fact, it’s the first time Real Madrid hasn’t reached the semifinals with Carlo Ancelotti on the bench. Given that the upcoming match against Barcelona at Montjuïc in a month could deal a final blow to their LaLiga title hopes, Ancelotti now seems to be on his way out… even though he still has a year left on his contract.
According to ‘Relevo’, Real Madrid has no plans to sack Ancelotti before the end of the season… but they have reportedly informed him that, while he’s not the only issue, they’re also not convinced he’s the solution. However, they would prefer to wait until after the Club World Cup to make a decision… which directly conflicts with the CBF’s timeline to announce him as Brazil’s head coach by June.
