Jude Bellingham: The Eternal Savior of Real Madrid
The English international was once again the hero against Manchester City... and it’s not the first time.
Once again, Real Madrid pulled off a classic comeback in the Champions League to end up winning against Manchester City at the Etihad. A feat they had never achieved in their six previous visits. It was a hard-fought victory, perhaps more than expected, which was ultimately sealed by Jude Bellingham, who was once again the hero... and it’s not the first time.

A Specialist in Injury Time
Since his arrival at Real Madrid in the summer of 2023 from Borussia Dortmund for 100 million euros, Jude Bellingham has been posting numbers more typical of a forward than a midfielder. In 75 games, he has already scored 34 goals.
Many of those goals have come in the final minutes of matches. Specifically, he has scored six goals in injury time. Moreover, all of them have secured victories for Real Madrid… just like last night, once again, against Manchester City.
On Par with Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo
To put it into perspective, these are the same number of injury-time goals Messi scored throughout his entire career... and just one less than Cristiano Ronaldo! Bellingham, however, is still only 21 and has much more to accomplish in the football world. Before turning 22, he has already matched the 26 goals scored in the Champions League at this age by Messi and Haaland.
This latest goal represents the third time Real Madrid has scored against Manchester City after the 90th minute. Records that no other team has achieved in the competition. Additionally, he became the first English player to score against a Premier League team with two different clubs: Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid.
