Luis Enrique Confesses that PSG "Still Hasn't Done Anything"
Luis Enrique acknowledges that PSG's path to winning the Champions League is still very long... despite eliminating Liverpool
Since PSG defeated Manchester United at Old Trafford back in December 2020, no team from Ligue 1 had managed to win in England… until PSG did it again by coming back to beat Liverpool at Anfield, which has helped establish the Parisian team as one of the major favorites to win the Champions League.

Slot sees PSG as Champions League champions
The celebration of the entire PSG squad on the pitch at Anfield was a clear example that PSG had achieved a victory that could represent the turning point. “We showed that we are a real team. Tonight, with our fans, we played a very good match, and we are proud of this great team. This is just the beginning!” warned Luis Enrique.
It’s no surprise, since after dominating in the group stage and winning the first leg at the Parc des Princes, very few experts expected PSG to eliminate this Liverpool. However, Slot acknowledged the quality of the team they were facing. “PSG is the best team we’ve faced. They can win the Champions League.”
Luis Enrique downplays the excitement
Some compliments from the coach of Liverpool that Luis Enrique didn't hesitate to return in a press conference: “It was a very difficult match because Liverpool is a very good team. We need to think about recovering and celebrating. We showed that we love playing football, regardless of the stadium or the atmosphere. It was a match for all our fans.”
With this victory, PSG has earned the right to be considered one of the top favorites to win the Champions League. However, Luis Enrique is aware that there is still much to be done: “You’ve seen how we celebrated. Knowing that we haven’t done anything yet, but that we’ve eliminated one of the best teams in Europe.”
