PSG's Vitinha: The Player Barcelona Must Worry About
The Portuguese midfielder is a crucial element in Luis Enrique's setup
Vítor Machado Ferreira, better known as Vitinha, has caught the eye with his recent displays at PSG, playing a pivotal role in the French side's midfield, who have racked up 25 consecutive games without tasting defeat.
Ahead of the Champions League Quarterfinals, Xavi Hernández will have to task his midfielders with the challenging job of containing the Portuguese footballer. Vitinha, aged 24, has impressed PSG and Ligue 1 enthusiasts with his performances, such as the one he delivered in the 27th matchday against Marseille in "Le Classique".
The Portuguese player was among the standout performers of the match. In the early minutes of the game, Vitinha managed to evade two markers with skillful dribbles in midfield. At the 52nd minute, he won back possession and, after two quick passes with Ousmane Dembelé, he slotted home the opening goal of the game. Additionally, he made a crucial goal-line clearance to assist Gianluigi Donnarumma in keeping yet another clean sheet.
