Real Madrid Wins at Home in the Final Minutes of the Champions League
Real Madrid secured their first win in the new UEFA Champions League format with a 3-1 victory over Stuttgart, thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappé, Antonio Rüdiger, and Endrick. For Stuttgart, Deniz Undav found the back of the net.
The match saw Real Madrid struggle to capitalize on their chances early on, but in the second half, at the 46th minute, Rodrigo delivered a perfect assist for Kylian Mbappé, who opened the scoring.
Stuttgart, however, kept pressing and managed to equalize in the 68th minute. From a set-piece, Deniz Undav rose in Thibaut Courtois' box to head the ball into the net, leveling the score.
Madrid then leaned on their signature fighting spirit, with Antonio Rüdiger scoring a crucial header in the 83rd minute to restore the lead. In stoppage time (90+5'), Endrick sealed the victory with a counterattack, marking his first Champions League goal.
With this result, Real Madrid earned their first three points in the Champions League, while Stuttgart, despite the loss, proved they are ready to play the role of giant killers as they aim for the next phase of the competition.
