Kane suffers calf injury, unsure over fitness for Bayern's next game
Harry Kane was taken off at half-time as Bayern Munich drew with Celtic to progress to the last 16 of the Champions League on Tuesday.
Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane will miss a few days of training after suffering a minor calf injury, the Bundesliga giants confirmed on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old sustained the injury, which led to internal bleeding, before Tuesday's 1-1 Champions League home draw with Celtic.
Alphonso Davies scored a late equaliser for Vincent Kompany's team, which secured a 3-2 aggregate victory and saw Bayern progress to the last 16.
But Kane, who was taken off at half-time after hitting the crossbar, is now a doubt for Bayern's clash with high-flying Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday.
"I'm not sure if I can play on Sunday," Kane said, adding that he suffered a minor jaw injury in a collision during last weekend's draw at Bayer Leverkusen.
Kane has scored 73 goals for Bayern in all competitions since he joined the club in 2023, four more than any other player in Europe's top five leagues (Kylian Mbappe ranks second on 69).
The England captain has provided 93 goal contributions, which is also the highest figure in Europe's top five leagues.
