Switzerland won their Round of 16 match in EURO 2024 against Italy with a 2-0 score, knocking out the current European champions.

Bologna player Remo Freuler opened the scoring in the 37th minute, and Rubén Vargas doubled the lead just one minute into the second half, in the 46th minute, sealing the victory for the Swiss.

With this result, Switzerland eliminates Italy and advances to the Quarterfinals of EURO 2024, awaiting the winner of the match between England and Slovakia.
