Endrick Vows "Joy and Commitment" in His Debut Call-Up for Brazil's National Team
"I will bring dedication, joy, and happiness. I hope to contribute these qualities," Endrick stated to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) television channel upon his arrival at the Canarinha's training camp.
RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - Seventeen-year-old forward Endrick, who recently signed with Real Madrid, pledged "joy and commitment" in his inaugural gathering with Brazil's national team. The team is set to face Colombia and Argentina in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
"I will bring dedication, joy, and happiness. I hope to contribute these qualities," Endrick stated to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) television channel upon his arrival at the Canarinha's training camp.
The Palmeiras forward, a standout in the Brazilian league, was among the first to arrive at the CBF's sports facility in Teresópolis, located in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro state.
Endrick expressed optimism about the upcoming matches, saying, "Hopefully we win both games to help the team qualify for the next World Cup." He, along with his Palmeiras teammate Raphael Veiga and Fluminense players André and Nino, were the early arrivals at the camp.
Real Madrid's forwards Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo, as well as Newcastle's midfielder Bruno Guimarães, joined the Brazilian squad on Monday, arriving in Teresópolis by helicopter.
The Brazilian team began their preparation on Monday at the CBF's sports complex for the two upcoming South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Currently third in the standings with seven points, Brazil will first face Colombia, who are fifth with six points, in Barranquilla on Thursday. The following match, scheduled for November 21, will see Brazil go head-to-head with Argentina, the current leaders of the qualifiers with 12 points, at the iconic Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
