Brazil seek first World Cup win against Haiti
Brazil will look to get their World Cup campaign up and running when they face Haiti in Philadelphia on Friday.
Carlo Ancelotti's side were expected to make a statement in their opening match but had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Morocco, with Vinicius Junior cancelling out Ismael Saibari's opener to salvage a point.
After failing to find their rhythm against Morocco, Brazil will look to deliver a more convincing display against Haiti at Philadelphia Stadium, knowing anything less than victory could leave them playing catch-up in Group C.
Their opponents, meanwhile, may have left their opener against Scotland without a point, but there was enough in Haiti's performance to offer encouragement.
John McGinn's first-half strike ultimately settled the contest, yet Haiti remained in the game throughout and were still within reach of a result deep into the second half.
They now face one of the tournament favourites, with Brazil eager to kickstart their campaign after being held by Morocco.
The nations have met three times previously, with Brazil winning on each occasion. Their last meeting came at the 2016 Copa America, when the Selecao ran out 7-1 winners.
Predicted Brazil lineup:
Alisson; Danilo, Marquinhos, Gabriel, Santos; Casemiro, Guimaraes; Raphinha, Paqueta, Vinicius; Cunha
Predicted Haiti lineup:
Placide; Arcus, Delcroix, Ade, Experience; Bellegarde, Jean; Deedson, Casimir, Providence; Isidor
