Hansi Flick Sees Lewandowski As The Best Striker In The World
FC Barcelona’s coach, Hansi Flick, praised Robert Lewandowski after their win against Alavés, where the Polish striker scored a hat-trick. Flick said, “he’s the best in the box” and was pleased with the team’s victory.
The German coach mentioned in a press conference that Lewandowski is playing just like he did back when they worked together at Bayern Munich. He said he was “happy for him” but also highlighted the importance of the team effort, saying “they help him reach these numbers.”
Flick praised his team’s first half and admitted that it was a “tough” game since Alavés pressed them well.
“It was really important not to make any mistakes,” said the coach, who had prepared his players to face a similar style of play after their loss to Osasuna.
When asked about Raphinha, he described him as “a dynamic player” who still has room to grow. He regretted that Raphinha missed a chance in the first half.
On another note, after Ferrán Torres’ injury, with no official update yet, Flick mentioned Dani Carvajal and wished him a speedy recovery.
Despite leading the league, Flick remained grounded. “For now, I feel good, but in football, things can change quickly. We’re focused on the work, taking it step by step,” he said.
“We have confidence in our style of play and our football philosophy, which is key for the upcoming games,” he added.
