Brazilian forward Neymar was forced to leave the field due to injury after playing less than thirty minutes during the fourth matchday of the AFC Champions League. 

His team, Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal, secured a 3-0 victory against Iran's Esteghlal, thanks to a hat-trick by Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Neymar came on as a substitute for Nasser Al Dawsari in the 58th minute but had to be replaced by Mohammed Al Qahtani in the 87th minute due to discomfort in his left thigh and visible signs of pain.

This setback comes shortly after Neymar's return to action on October 21, following a year-long recovery from a serious knee injury. He had previously sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament and a meniscus injury in his left leg during a match between Brazil and Uruguay on October 17, 2023.
