Ronald Araujo Set to Return to Barcelona: Date Confirmed!
Ronald Araujo is nearing his return to action after several months sidelined due to a hamstring tendon injury.
According to recent reports, FC Barcelona is aiming to have the Uruguayan defender available for the match against Celta de Vigo on November 23. If that isn’t possible, he is expected to be ready for the Champions League clash against Stade Brest on November 26.
Araujo sustained the injury last July during a Copa América match, which required surgery and a lengthy recovery period.
The center-back has been undergoing rehabilitation under the supervision of Barcelona’s medical team, alongside specialists in Finland. In recent weeks, he has been training individually at the Ciutat Esportiva and is now in the final stages of his recovery.
If everything goes as planned, his return will provide a significant boost to Barcelona’s squad during a crucial phase of the season, giving Hansi Flick more defensive options, where players like Pau Cubarsí and Iñigo Martínez have stepped up in Araujo’s absence.
