Bayern Munich Withdraws Contract Renewal Offer to Kimmich: Is the Real Madrid or Barcelona Route Reactivated?
‘Bild’ reported in Germany that Bayern Munich is tired of not receiving a response from Kimmich.
In recent weeks, Bayern Munich and Joshua Kimmich seemed to have reached a preliminary agreement to renew the current contract of the German midfielder, which was set to expire next June. However, there has been a new twist in recent hours, and Bayern Munich, according to reports from 'Bild' in Germany, has withdrawn the offer to Kimmich.

Bayern begins looking for a replacement for Kimmich
The agreement for Joshua Kimmich's renewal with Bayern Munich involved a slight increase in the player’s salary, which is currently around 20 million euros per year. A deal that seemed fair… but to which Kimmich still hasn’t given validity, generating great discontent among Bayern’s executives.
In a strategy to try to pressure Kimmich, 'Sky Sports' reported that Bayern communicated that the last offer they made had been withdrawn due to the lack of a response. Over these days, Kimmich's agents have continued negotiations. But Bayern Munich has gotten tough, and it seems unlikely they will offer the same terms again.
Real Madrid and Barcelona enter the scene for Kimmich
At this point, the renewal of Joshua Kimmich with Bayern Munich has entered a critical phase and seems further away than ever from happening. In fact, 'Sky Sports' also reported that he has been given a deadline of three to four weeks to provide a response. Otherwise, they will begin looking for a replacement in the market.
This situation could reactivate the rumors that placed Joshua Kimmich at FC Barcelona or Real Madrid. ‘MARCA’ revealed a few days ago that Kimmich was not a target for Real Madrid… though he is considered a good market opportunity. On the other hand, Flick's presence at Barcelona could lead Kimmich to reunite with his former coach at Bayern.
