Harry Kane Surpassed Mbappé and Haaland and Won the European Golden Shoe
The English forward signed another historic season with Bayern Munich, reaching 36 goals and establishing himself as the top scorer on the continent.
Harry Kane top scorer
Harry Kane made a difference in Europe once again. The Bayern Munich striker was crowned the continent's top scorer with 36 goals and 72 points, leaving behind the likes of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé.
The rest of the list
The Norwegian Haaland, who had won the award in the 2022/23 season, finished this season with 27 goals (54 points) and second place. Mbappé, meanwhile, finished third with 25 goals (50 points), far from the version that made him the top scorer last year with 31.
The list of the top eight is completed by Viktor Gyökeres, Dion Beljo, Vedat Muriqi, Igor Thiago, Luis Suárez, and Esteban Lepaul

The Cup final and Kane's future
The German Cup final was the perfect stage for a showdown. Kane scored a decisive hat-trick to give Bayern the title. After the game, the Stuttgart striker acknowledged the quality of his rival: "You can't give him an inch. He has world-class finishing with both feet, that special instinct, and he's always where the ball lands. Even the passes he makes to Olise or Díaz are spectacular. That's what it means to be world-class."
With this new award, Kane has scored 146 goals in 147 games with the Bavarian team. He had already won the Golden Boot in his first season in Germany, also with 36 goals. At 32, the Englishman left the question about his future open: "At the moment, I want to get the most out of a contract. This will be one of the last ones I sign as a player," he said about the negotiations to extend his contract, which is valid until 2027
