Real Madrid Switches to Copa del Rey Mode with Key Returns
Eduardo Camavinga, Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham, and Fede Valverde have rejoined the group after overcoming various physical issues. They are now preparing for the upcoming match against Celta de Vigo.
Eduardo Camavinga, after recovering from a bout of the flu, along with Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham, and Fede Valverde, who had been dealing with various issues following the Spanish Super Cup, returned to training on Wednesday. This marked the final session before Thursday’s Copa del Rey Round of 16 clash at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Carlo Ancelotti regains key players for the knockout match as he looks to rebuild the team after the heavy 5-2 defeat against FC Barcelona.
To start, Camavinga overcame the flu that kept him out of Tuesday’s training. Meanwhile, Bellingham and Valverde moved past their respective muscle strains, and Mbappé shrugged off a painful ankle knock sustained in the Super Cup final.
Additionally, Jesús Vallejo, sidelined last week due to muscular discomfort, also trained without any setbacks.
The five players joined the rest of the squad, which included RM Castilla’s right-back Lorenzo Aguado, brought in to round out the team. However, the group remains without Dani Carvajal and Éder Militão, both out with long-term anterior cruciate ligament injuries.
