Former Real Madrid star Luis Figo addressed the incident involving Aurélien Tchouaméni and Federico Valverde, saying what happened inside the dressing room “is not normal.”
Speaking in Barcelona, Figo admitted tensions can happen inside elite squads, but stressed that such situations should not occur.
“What happened cannot be considered normal,” the Portuguese icon said.
“Managing a dressing room is not easy”
Figo explained that dealing with a squad full of elite players often creates pressure and frustration.
He also pointed out that leadership inside Real Madrid goes beyond strict discipline and depends heavily on managing personalities correctly.

His take on Mourinho and the next Madrid coach
Asked about the possibility of a “strong-hand” manager like José Mourinho, Figo dismissed the idea that this is the key to success at Madrid.
Instead, he highlighted figures such as Carlo Ancelotti, Vicente del Bosque and Zinedine Zidane as examples of coaches who succeeded by managing egos and keeping the squad united.
