Ancelotti and Flick Pose Together Ahead of the Supercup Final
The head coaches of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, and Barcelona, Hansi Flick, posed this Saturday for the traditional photo of the Supercup finalists, in front of the tournament trophy. The two coaches shook hands and wore the shirts of their respective clubs.
A Relaxed Meeting at the King Abdullah Stadium
The brief event took place on the pitch at the King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah, where tomorrow’s final match will be played (8:00 PM Spanish time), in front of more than 60,000 spectators. Ancelotti and Flick posed for the photo flanking the cup, and after greeting each other, they made their way to the locker room while chatting casually. This photo op happened after Carlo Ancelotti’s press conference at the stadium, and before Flick held his own.
First Meeting in a Final
This is the first time these two coaches have faced off in a final, both of whom have managed Bayern Munich, a club with which Flick won the Champions League in the 2019-2020 season. So far, they’ve met only twice, both this season, with victories for Barcelona. In August, during preseason, Flick’s team won 1-2, and on October 26, in the league, they defeated Real Madrid 0-4 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
