Ancelotti Offers Modric Assistant Coaching Role
From Spain, it is reported that the Italian coach wants to have the Croatian by his side if he ultimately decides to retire at the end of the current season.
The future of Luka Modric, like that of Toni Kroos, is still uncertain. Will he renew? Will he move to another team? Or perhaps will he choose retirement? It's unknown. Yet.
What we do know is what has been reported in Spain. Carlo Ancelotti has offered the Croatian midfielder a place by his side on the bench as an assistant if he opts to hang up his boots, as per reports from the newspaper AS.
The Italian coach wants Modric, if he chooses retirement, to start his coaching education alongside him on the Real Madrid bench, similar to what Zinedine Zidane did back in the day.
However, the same report indicates that the Croatian may have declined the offer from the Italian coach as he believes he still has football left in his boots and wants to continue playing, whether at Real Madrid or elsewhere.
