Ancelotti on Real Madrid's Crisis: "We’ve Found the Solution"
Ancelotti expressed confidence that they have "found the solution" to his team's problems after two consecutive defeats, but they will have to prove it.
Ancelotti expressed confidence that they have “found the solution” to the team's problems following two consecutive losses, but placed the pressure on his players by stating that “words are meaningless” and that they must “act tomorrow” on the field against Osasuna in LaLiga.
“We’ve talked, we’ve tried to evaluate the situation with the players. We think we’ve found the solution, but it’s just theory; we need to act tomorrow by delivering a performance different from the others. I see a motivated team, aware of what has happened, and we believe we’ve identified the right solution, but we’ll have to wait until tomorrow,” he said in a press conference.
“We think we’ve found the solution, but it’s all theoretical. This is not the place to talk about the problems we’ve had because everyone has their own opinion, and we have to face reality, which is that we’ve lost in recent games and we need to approach it differently,” he added.
“We can get through this moment with a different performance. But today it’s all words, and words are forgotten; tomorrow’s performance will stay on the field and be seen by all our fans,” he continued.
Ancelotti stressed the need for a “reaction” from his team and the importance of recovering collective solidity. “I’m convinced that what we’ve discussed we will show, but I’m uncertain if we will see it tomorrow. The issue is identified, it’s very clear, and I want to see a reaction tomorrow,” he said.
“Sacrifice, concentration, and collective work. I’ve repeated this many times, but it’s still the key. Sacrifice to be a compact team, concentration to take the right position, and collective work, because we did it fantastically last year. The key is this: the compact team, and it doesn’t matter if it’s with high pressing or a low block,” he concluded about the keys to the team’s reaction.
