Barcelona’s Stunning Victory over Real Madrid in El Clásico
Barcelona showed no mercy against Real Madrid, winning 5-2 to claim the Spanish Super Cup against their biggest rival in a thrilling match that left no one indifferent.
The match
It all started with a brilliant goal from Mbappé, who amazed the entire stadium in the 5th minute with his outstanding performance. However, in the 17th minute, everything changed for Madrid with an apparent injury to the French player, altering the course of the game for Ancelotti's side. Despite Barcelona losing Íñigo Martínez to injury as well, their quick response on the field turned the situation around.
With 4 goals before halftime, thanks to a great performance from Lamine Yamal, who scored in the 22nd minute, and Raphinha, with a brace in the 39th and 48th minutes, the team took a commanding lead. Additionally, Lewandowski scored in the 36th minute and Baldé added one in the 45+10 minute.
Madrid's reaction
Although Wojciech Szczęsny's red card and Rodrygo's quick goal in the 60th minute gave hope to Madrid's fans, they were unable to break through Barcelona's solid defensive display, which prevented any clear opportunities and left them lacking in attack.
In the end, the team coached by Hansi Flick denied Mbappé's second title with Real Madrid and tied the historic win record between both clubs, now at 105 victories each.
