Barcelona Signs Mbacke
Barcelona signs the Senegalese centre-back until 2026 with two optional seasons.
The 21-year-old Senegalese center-back, Mamadou Mbacke, who currently plays for Barça Atlètic, has signed a new contract with the Blaugrana team and will stay with them until 2026, with an additional two optional seasons. The contract renewal and the agreement between Barça and Los Angeles FC to keep the player were made official this Monday.
After the club was satisfied with Mbacke's performance last season, they decided to renew his contract until 2026. With the surprising departure of Barcelona B's coach, Rafa Márquez, to join the Mexican national team as Javier Aguirre's assistant, this is good news for Barça’s second team as they manage to retain a great player.
Mbacke has a lot of skill in defending as a center-back and in ball recovery. He also has a lot of strength and can easily win one-on-one battles against opponents, a trait that will help him secure a starting position with the Blaugrana team.
