Lamine Yamal Misses Barcelona Training as Lewandowski Returns
Meanwhile, forward Ferran Torres and defender Eric García, who have been out since October with muscle injuries, completed part of the session with the team.
The return of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski was the highlight of Barcelona’s training session this Thursday, in a practice that did not include winger Lamine Yamal, who continues with his personalized gym recovery plan. The session also marked the return of players who had been on international duty.
Lewandowski is recovering from a right ankle injury that had already sidelined him for Barcelona’s last LaLiga match before the international break—a 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad on November 10. His availability for this Saturday’s game against Celta in Balaídos remains uncertain.
On a brighter note, Lewandowski, who missed his national team’s matches due to a back injury, trained alongside the rest of the squad at the Tito Vilanova field in the Joan Gamper training center.
After a day off, Barcelona returned to training this Thursday in a session where coach Hansi Flick worked with returning internationals and several reserve players, including Aleix Garrido, Álvaro Cortés, David Oduro, Unai Hernández, and Noah Darvich.
