Messi Picks Lamine Yamal for His "Messi +10" Team
Lionel Messi remains an iconic figure both on and off the field, and a testament to this is that even his sponsor, Adidas, celebrates "Messi Day."
In this context, the sports brand launched a campaign titled "Messi +10," in which the Argentine star selected ten footballers, both men and women, to wear the special edition boots that have been released and that he will also be wearing.
Among the lucky ones are two talents from FC Barcelona: Lamine Yamal, a youth product of the men's first team, and Vicky López, a young prospect from the women's first team.
In a video, Messi revealed the names of the ten chosen players, saving Lamine's announcement for the end, highlighting him as the main media draw of the campaign.
In addition to rising global star Lamine Yamal, Claudio Echeverri, Jaedyn Shaw, Antonio Nusa, Joel Ndala, Linda Caicedo, Vicky López, Kenan Yildiz, Assan Ouedraogo, and Eliesse Ben Seghir will also sport these exclusive boots.
"Football is my passion, and being able to create my own collection of boots with Adidas is another dream come true. I’m very grateful that all these young talents liked the boots and chose to wear them on the pitch," Messi commented.
