The Legend Romário Believes Raphinha Will Lead Barcelona To Glory
Romário de Souza Faria, Brazilian legend and former FC Barcelona striker, is set to feature in a special event with the Barça Legends tonight in Curitiba. The friendly match will be against a team of Brazilian stars called the Pelé Pequeno Príncipe Legends, as part of the celebrations for the club’s 125th anniversary.
The former player, renowned for his time as a prolific scorer at Barça, expressed his excitement about participating in this tribute and reuniting with former teammates from the iconic 'Dream Team.' "It’s an honor to be here. I spent almost two years at Barça, but they were the best of my career. It’s emotional to wear the jersey of the best club in the world again," said Romário, visibly moved.
Optimism for the Current Barça Team
During his remarks, Romário also highlighted the strong form of FC Barcelona this season and expressed confidence that the team could reclaim the LaLiga title. "Barça has a great team this year; they’re playing well and winning important matches. I’m sure we’ll be champions again," he stated.
He also praised his compatriot Raphinha, who has become one of the team’s standout players. "He’s one of the best players in the world right now. It makes us proud to see him succeed both at Barça and with the Brazilian national team. I’m confident he’ll continue bringing joy to all Brazilians," he said.
