Ancelotti’s Take on Mbappé’s Injury
Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid's Italian coach, downplayed the severity of the muscular issue that forced Kylian Mbappé off the field in the 35th minute against Atalanta. He described it as "hamstring overload."
Following preliminary tests on Mbappé, which will be followed by further MRI scans in Madrid on Wednesday, Ancelotti offered a positive outlook on the French forward's condition.
“It’s an overload, a slight discomfort in the hamstring. It doesn’t seem serious. He had to stop after starting very well. We’ll see tomorrow after the tests,” Ancelotti told Movistar+.
He also explained the decision to substitute Mbappé: “He couldn’t sprint; it bothered him a little, so we preferred to take him off.”
