That’s how Miguel Ángel Russo opened his remarks, hinting that he may have found some solutions to the internal issues that had been affecting the squad.
Without going into much detail—true to his usual discretion—Russo tried to lower the tension surrounding the crisis at the club and bring reassurance to Boca Juniors fans.
"We’re doing fine, working hard, talking a lot. We know winning is important for us," he stated.
"I’m fine. I don’t like losing, losing hurts. But this is my way of life, my way of managing, of working with a group—it hurts us all, but we have to move on. There’s no other way."
“Listen, I never think negatively. Why would I think something negative? If I did, I’d say it right now. You have to be convinced of what you’re doing. I had a tough day because my son had facial surgery—so many things. And well, we were just talking with the guys tonight, and everything’s fine. It’s like we’ve been saying and discussing, you know? That day, I just had to focus on my son.”

His son Ignacio, a striker at Tigre, had recently commented about evaluating his career. Russo responded:
“Let me explain. First, leave my son (Ignacio) alone. He’s doing very well at Tigre. Don’t look for problems where there aren’t any. He speaks about Tigre and about himself. He has a different mindset and he’s doing just fine.”
