Can Brilliant Barcola Keep Pushing PSG’s Title Charge?
PSG’s rising star continues to shine with 8-goal Ligue 1 haul.
The vibe of Schadenfreude continues at PSG this week with fans having delighted in the offside bonanza of Kylian Mbappe in El Clasico, followed a day later in Le Classique with another virtuoso display from Bradley Barcola. The 22-year-old has slotted seamlessly in Mbappe’s former spot on the left hand side of PSG’s French-tinged attack and scored an incredible eight league goals in just nine games.
The prolific start to the season from the forward has helped PSG to win some wiggle room at the top of the standings, after last weekend’s mauling against Marseille and Monaco dropping points in their own rivalry match against Nice.
Lens are coming to the Parc des Princes in a bit of a bad shape having just lost the Derby du Nord against Lille in traumatic fashion, carrying a lot of injuries and a record of just one win in the team’s past seven Ligue 1 games. PSG will look to the game to get into some form ahead of a must-win Champions League match against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.
