Marseille Unable to Overcome Strasbourg
Strasbourg and Marseille widened the gap in their struggling campaigns, unable to secure a victory at the Stade de la Meinau (1-1) in the matchday thirteen clash of Ligue 1, currently led by Paris Saint-Germain.
Both Patrik Vieira's and Gennaro Gattuso's teams extended their respective winless streaks. Strasbourg now has six consecutive matches without a win, edging closer to the lower ranks of the standings.
Despite taking an early lead with a goal from Dutchman Emanuel Emegha in the sixth minute assisted by Kevin Gameiro, Strasbourg failed to secure a victory. Marseille managed to equalize before the half-hour mark courtesy of Jonathan Clauss.
Afterward, neither team found the breakthrough, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Marseille has gone four games without a win and remains distant from European positions, trailing sixth-placed Lens by five points. Strasbourg, with six matches without securing three points, is now just two points above the relegation zone.
