The Terrifying Kick Donnarumma Suffered Against Monaco
Gianluigi Donnarumma, goalkeeper for Paris Saint-Germain and a starter in the last five matches for his team, was substituted due to injury in the 20th minute of this Wednesday's Ligue 1 match against Monaco, after taking a blow to the face from the sole of Singo's boot, which caused a wound near his right eye.
The incident occurred in the 17th minute. The Italian international goalkeeper was left lying on the ground and was attended to for about three minutes, while Achraf Hakimi informed the bench, led by Luis Enrique Martínez, of the need to substitute the goalkeeper. Minutes later, Donnarumma left the field on his own feet, accompanied by the Parisian club's medical staff.
In his place, Matvey Safonov came on, warming up quickly to be ready to enter the pitch at the Louis II Stadium in Monaco.
