Olympique Lyon secured a commanding 4-1 win over OGC Nice in Ligue 1, led by a stellar performance from Alexandre Lacazette, who netted a hat-trick. From the get-go, Lyon displayed an aggressive offensive stance, with Lacazette opening the scoring at the 4th minute with a precise strike. 

Nice attempted a comeback, but Lyon’s defense held firm. Lacazette doubled the lead just before halftime with his second goal at the 41st minute.

In the second half, Nice managed to narrow the gap with a goal from Gaëtan Laborde at the 55th minute. However, Lyon quickly retaliated; Lacazette completed his hat-trick at the 69th minute, and Jordan Veretout added the fourth at the 43rd minute.

This significant win gives Lyon three crucial points, helping them climb up the Ligue 1 standings. Meanwhile, Nice faces a setback, drifting further away from European competition spots.
