Fulham stop Tottenham
Tottenham's season of inconsistency
After a 0-4 victory over Manchester City in the previous match at the Etihad Stadium, Tottenham once again faltered, drawing 1-1 at home against Fulham. The team is now outside the European competition spots, having failed to win more than three matches in their last seven Premier League fixtures.
Tottenham's rollercoaster season
This is the harsh reality for the team managed by Ante Postecoglou, who, despite taking the lead with a strike from Brennan Johnson and an even better assist from Timo Werner, couldn’t hold onto the advantage. Werner was a starter for the seventh time this season. However, Fulham managed to equalize after an hour of play, with a goal from Tom Cairney, who capitalized on a pass-back from Alex Iwobi.
Raúl Jiménez in action
Raúl Jiménez, who was a starter and played 78 minutes, couldn’t prevent the draw, and things worsened for Fulham when Cairney, the scorer of the equalizer, was sent off after a tough challenge on Dejan Kulusevski, following a VAR review. Fulham is currently in 10th place in the standings.
