AC Milan move has given Walker 'a new lease of life'
Kyle Walker was enduring a difficult season at Manchester City, but is enjoying his loan spell at AC Milan.
Kyle Walker explained his move from Manchester City to AC Milan has given him "a new lease of life".
Walker left City, who he joined from Tottenham in 2017, in January, signing on at Milan on loan until the end of the season.
The England international had endured a difficult time in the Premier League prior to the turn of the year, with City badly out of form.
Walker has featured four times for Milan since making the move to Italy, and the 34-year-old is enjoying the adventure of playing abroad.
"The first two weeks in Milan have been fantastic," he said in an interview with GQ, as reported by Football Italia.
"The fans have been excellent. The food is great. The weather could improve a little bit. It's not been sunny yet, but I'm waiting until March. I'm fully enjoying it.
"It's given me a new lease of life where I can just solely concentrate on football and fall back in love with the game.
"I'm not saying that I fell out of love with the game, but to play in the Premier League against the same players after winning everything, this is something I needed to re-energise the love I have for football."
Walker is set to feature for a fifth time for Milan when the Rossoneri take on Hellas Verona in Serie A on Saturday.
Milan have won each of their last eight Serie A matches against Verona. The Rossoneri have only managed to record a longer consecutive winning streak against four opponents in their history in the competition.
