Leonardo Bonucci will be a new player for Fenerbahçe in the Süper Lig, following his stint with Union Berlin in the Bundesliga.

According to the Turkish club's announcement, the 36-year-old Italian footballer, a champion with Italy in Euro 2020, will arrive in Istanbul for medical examinations.

The experienced center-back, a historic figure at Juventus, played in Germany during the early months of the season, featuring in only nine matches and scoring one goal.

Fenerbahçe, led by Ismail Kartal, currently tops the Turkish league, tied on points with Galatasaray, and aims to secure a title they haven't won since 2014.
