Mario Hermoso is on the brink of embarking on a new chapter in his career after reaching an agreement with Galatasaray.

According to AS, the Spanish defender has signed a three-year contract that will guarantee him a salary exceeding five million euros per season, including bonuses.

Hermoso, who became a free agent after his contract with Atlético Madrid expired on June 30, has become one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market.

The Spaniard’s versatility, being able to play as a central defender or left-back, has been a key factor in Galatasaray's interest, especially after their left-back Derick Köhn moved to Werder Bremen.

As part of their defensive restructuring, the club has also secured the loan of Ismaïl Jakobs from Monaco, with an option to buy.
