Gavi Explodes Before Barcelona vs Borussia Dortmund Clash: 'They Don’t Have a F*%& Clue'
Barcelona Midfielder Opens Up Ahead of Crucial Champions League Clash Against Borussia Dortmund
Pablo Páez Gavira, better known as Gavi, was the main focus during the press conference ahead of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal match between FC Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund. The young Andalusian midfielder didn’t hold back when responding to critics who question his style of play:
"It’s true that a lot of people think I don’t know how to play football; they don’t have a f**ing clue," Gavi said bluntly when asked about the criticism that labels him as more physical than technical.
"I’m at 100%, I have the same mindset as always"
The Barça player, who returned to action in October after a serious knee injury, insisted he feels fully recovered:
"I’m at 100%. Nothing has changed since before the injury. I have the same mindset. I’m calm and happy to be back. It’s true that some players don’t come back the same, but I know what I’m capable of."
Gavi also admitted that his performance has varied in some matches: "In some games I’ve felt more comfortable than in others."
Gavi Highlights Flick’s Support: "He helps us on the pitch and as people"
The academy product praised the work of coach Hansi Flick in helping him reintegrate into the team:
"Flick is helping me a lot with football concepts, but also with the human side. Since I was little, I’d always been a starter, and that’s something I had to understand: I can’t always be in the starting eleven. Flick is amazing."
