Lamine Yamal, the promising young talent from FC Barcelona, continues his recovery process after sustaining a grade 1 injury to the syndesmosis in his right ankle.

 Although initially expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks, his availability for the upcoming UEFA Champions League match against Brest on November 26, 2024, remains doubtful.

Coach Hansi Flick has urged caution regarding Yamal’s return, emphasizing the necessity of a full recovery before reintegrating him into the team lineup. 

“We do not want to rush his return; it is critical that he is 100% to avoid any setbacks,” Flick remarked during a recent press conference.

Fans will have to wait a bit longer to see Lamine Yamal back in action, as the club prioritizes his long-term health and wellness. Yamal’s absence has notably impacted the team’s performance in La Liga, with Barcelona only securing 1 point from the last 9 available without the young winger on the field.
