The Brazilian Raphinha, winger for FC Barcelona, who was named MVP of the Champions League match against Benfica and scored the final goal in the Blaugrana comeback (4-5), claimed after the match that he was "insulted" and that he "returned the insults," following a confrontation in the players' tunnel between both teams after the game ended.
"It was something that happened, we were all heated," explained Raphinha, who admitted that insults were exchanged between players from both teams.
The Barça captain assured that "it was a spectacular match" and that, after the first half, the players "came back focused in the second half."
Additionally, in post-match statements, the Brazilian forward acknowledged that he is in his "best moment" of his football career.
