Sancho Shines as Chelsea Remains Unstoppable in Europe
Two assists from Jadon Sancho, converted by Christophe Nkunku and Mykhailo Mudryk, were key in Chelsea's victory, their fourth in four matches of the Conference League. The London side defeated Heidenheim, who had also remained undefeated until facing the team managed by Enzo Maresca.
The match, held at Voith Arena in Heidenheim, saw two teams with perfect starts in the first three rounds. However, the balance was broken in the second half when Chelsea, the tournament favorites, showcased their quality. The first goal came in the 51st minute thanks to Nkunku, following a precise assist from Sancho.
Heidenheim tried to respond, but Chelsea's superiority was evident in the final minutes. Four minutes from time, a brilliant collective play ended with another assist from Sancho, this time to Mudryk, who finished clinically inside the box.
With this victory, Chelsea remains the only team with a perfect record in the competition. Their flawless performance keeps them at the top of the group, with a two-point lead over Jagiellonia and Vitoria Guimarães, their closest pursuers.
The London side reaffirms their status as favorites to win the Conference League title. The quality of their players and their collective performance has made them a tough opponent, as demonstrated against Heidenheim, who fought hard but couldn't overcome Chelsea's solid play.
