Women's Champions League draw: Chelsea to face Man City as Barca get Wolfsburg
Women's Champions League holders Barcelona will face two-time winners Wolfsburg, while Chelsea have been drawn against Manchester City.
A blockbuster clash between Chelsea and Manchester City headlined an intriguing draw for the Women's Champions League quarter-finals.
Chelsea, who are managed by Sonia Bompastor, a runner-up with Lyon last year and a winner of the tournament in 2022, are charging clear at the top of the Women's Super League and are unbeaten across all competitions.
On Friday, Bompastor was named the WSL Manager of the Month.
Manchester City have fallen to fourth place after a drop in form, but ran Chelsea close last term before being pipped to the post on the final day.
It means Chelsea and City will face each other at least four times in the space of two weeks in March, given they will also meet in the Women's League Cup final and the WSL next month.
They could also possibly meet in the Women's FA Cup quarter-finals, which will be played on March 8-9.
Holders Barcelona, meanwhile, will take on two-time winners Wolfsburg in another enthralling encounter in the same half of the draw.
That is a repeat of the 2023 final, in which Barca came from behind to win 3-2.
In the other half of the draw, Arsenal will take on Real Madrid.
The Gunners are the only English team to have won the Champions League, having done so in 2007.
Bayern Munich, meanwhile, will take on eight-time European champions Lyon in the other tie.
The quarter-finals will take place over March 18-19 and 26-27.
