Lando Norris sees Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari as title contenders
Lando Norris, the McLaren driver from England, stated that anyone who doubts Lewis Hamilton "is a bit silly," referring to his compatriot’s new chapter at Ferrari, the seven-time Formula 1 world champion.
Unwavering support for Hamilton
The British driver, who was the world runner-up last year, spoke to the media at the season launch event at the O2, where, interestingly, all teams spoke except for Ferrari, the team of Hamilton, who was the main figure of the day as it marked his first public appearance since joining the Italians.
"I think it's amazing what he's doing, what he has done, and what he's going to do at Ferrari. It's a very special team. I think he’d struggle to find reasons not to be motivated. It's a great opportunity for him and a great story. It's Lewis—if anyone doubts him, they’re a bit silly," said the Bristol driver.
McLaren and the battle for the title
Given McLaren's progress last year, Norris starts the season alongside four-time world champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull) as one of the top favorites for the title this year.
