McLaren Unveils New Car to Defend F1 Title
Reigning Formula 1 Constructors' Champion McLaren has officially unveiled its 2025 challenger, the MCL39, at Silverstone. After securing the team title last season, the British outfit now sets its sights on a Drivers' Championship, something they haven’t achieved since Lewis Hamilton’s 2008 triumph.
With Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri behind the wheel, McLaren is aiming to stay at the front of the grid and build on the success of 2024.
Optimism in the McLaren Camp
McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown emphasized the importance of this launch in their championship ambitions: "This is a crucial step in our journey towards 2025. Seeing the car hit the track for the first time is a proud moment for the entire team, who have worked tirelessly to bring it to life."

Brown also acknowledged the fierce competition and the unknowns heading into the new season: "We know every team has made strides over the winter. Last year was incredibly tight, which is great for the sport. We believe we’ve improved on the MCL38, but we won’t truly know where we stand until qualifying in Australia."
Meanwhile, Lando Norris shared his excitement about the new campaign: "I’m back at McLaren, getting ready for the season, and the energy in the team is fantastic.
We’re eager to put the car through its paces in Bahrain before the first race in Australia, where we’ll see how we stack up against the competition." Before the lights go out in Melbourne from March 14-16, all F1 teams will take part in a joint launch event at London’s O2 Arena on February 18.
