Mexican driver Sergio Pérez (Red Bull), who finished eighth in the Belgian Grand Prix, stated after the race at Spa-Francorchamps that he will no longer answer "questions about the future" when asked about his prospects in the Formula One World Championship.

"I think we have a lot to do as a team, many things to focus on, and we can't waste energy on all these rumors," said "Checo" Pérez regarding his future, as reported by "Motorsport." "This is the last time I will speak about the future, just to make it clear to everyone. I will not talk or answer any more questions about the future," said the Mexican driver, clearly frustrated.

Pérez believes that "this is a good moment for the team" and for himself, though he acknowledges: "We have a lot to do, and we'll see what we can achieve. I hope to come back stronger."

The Mexican driver described Sunday's race as "very disappointing." "It started with a lot of difficulties upfront; I don't know what was happening, but I had to manage the battery from the first few laps, and everything was very tight ahead," he recounted.

"Once I managed to recharge the battery a bit, I was pretty even with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, I was there, but then, with all the traffic, it became very difficult and complicated," he explained.
