Henry on Olise's Potential: 'You Haven't Seen Anything Yet'
The coach of the French Olympic team highlighted the great game his player had in the semifinals against Egypt.
France will compete in the men's football final at the Paris 2024 Olympics against Spain on Friday, August 9, after defeating Egypt 3-1 in the semifinals. Ahead of the gold medal match, Thierry Henry highlighted the impressive performance of his player, Michael Olise, throughout the entire Olympic tournament.
In a press conference, the French coach stated that "you haven't seen anything yet" regarding Olise's potential, emphasizing his contribution to the team and expressing his gratitude that Olise chose to play for France instead of England.
“Personally, I’m not surprised by what done and what he’s doing. He has enormous qualities, and you haven’t seen anything yet. Personally, that’s what I think. This is just the beginning. I hope so for his sake. Of Course, we’re not going to jinx him, but he’s a player you don’t often get players like that. I think you remember what I said at the start. So let’s forget about the game and what he can do. For me, it’s his desire to have wanted top play for the French team," Henry commented.
On another note, the new Bayern Munich player has had an excellent Olympic tournament, scoring two goals and providing four assists. He's been outstanding and is highly motivated to cap it off with an Olympic gold medal for France.
France will face Spain in the men's football final this Friday, August 9, in what promises to be an exciting match between two teams that will fight with everything they've got to win the gold medal in an Olympic Games that will go down in history.
