Crystal Palace Displays Offensive Power in Win Over Wolves
Crystal Palace triumphed over Wolves with a 3-1 victory in the Stateside Cup, during the Premier League teams' pre-season tour in the United States.
The first goal for Crystal Palace came after a mistake by Wolves' goalkeeper Daniel Bentley, who mishandled a ball that landed at the feet of Jeffrey Schlupp. Schlupp capitalized immediately, sending the ball into the Wolves' net in the 35th minute of the first half.
The Eagles' second goal came in the second half, with Ivorian forward Jordan Ayew scoring in the 50th minute. Ayew finished expertly in a one-on-one situation with the Wolves' keeper.
Despite a consolation goal by Santiago Bueno in the 90th minute, Wolves couldn't salvage a draw. Palace secured their victory with an additional goal by Agbinone in the 90+4th minute.
This win marked Oliver Glasner's first victory in the Stateside Cup with Crystal Palace, while Wolves experienced their first defeat following their 3-1 win against West Ham.
