Mamelodi Sundowns Secure Place in Third Consecutive CAF Women’s Champions League Final
Mamelodi Sundowns secured their place in the CAF Women’s Champions League final, overcoming FAR Rabat in a hard-fought semi-final clash at Korogho’s Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday. The South African side sought redemption after losing their champions title to AS Far in the previous season's finals.
The first half ended in a goalless stalemate, with both teams displaying a cautious approach. After the break, both sides showed more attacking intent, and it was the South Africans who broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute. Boitumelo Rabale connected with a corner to score the decisive goal, propelling her team into the finals of Africa’s premier women’s club competition.
