It Is Reported that Vitor Roque Will Be the New Player of Palmeiras
Fabrizio Romano announced that Palmeiras has reached an agreement with Barcelona for the transfer of Vitor Roque
This Friday, February 28 marks the deadline for making transfers in the Brazilian market, leaving Palmeiras with less than five days to finalize their goal of signing Vitor Roque, a forward who is currently on loan to Real Betis until June 30. The operation to incorporate Roque has become more complex, with three teams involved: Palmeiras, Betis, and Barcelona, the club that holds the rights to the young attacker. Despite advanced negotiations, Betis has not yet given its approval for the operation.

Advanced negotiations between Palmeiras and Barcelona
Palmeiras has managed to make considerable progress in talks with Barcelona, and it is expected that the signing agreement will be closed for an amount close to 25 million euros. In this transaction, FC Barcelona would keep 20% of a future sale of the player, according to the renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, specialized in the transfer market. This agreement with Barcelona would be a crucial step for Palmeiras to secure Vitor Roque, who has been a very promising talent in Brazilian football.
However, Real Betis is facing a dilemma. Although the loan of Vitor Roque extends until June 2025, with an option to buy and the possibility of a second year, the Seville club is not willing to break the agreement without receiving something in return. The loan of Roque is crucial for Betis, especially given his role in the team and his importance in the squad for the Conference League, where he is one of the two forwards registered, alongside Bakambu. If Roque’s sale goes through, Betis would lose a key player for the competition.
Betis is not willing to give in
Additionally, Real Betis recently signed Cucho Hernández in the winter market, but this player could not be registered for the Conference League, which would further complicate the situation if they were to let go of Vitor Roque. The club finds itself in a delicate position, as losing Roque in the middle of the international competition would be a significant risk. Therefore, Betis is carefully evaluating its options before accepting any deal.
Although Vitor Roque will likely see his participation in La Liga reduced due to the arrival of Cucho Hernández, Betis is willing to negotiate if they receive adequate financial compensation for the Brazilian forward's departure. For now, the offers have not reached the amount the club deems acceptable, so the situation remains uncertain. The next few days will be crucial to define the future of one of the most promising talents in Brazilian football.
